Zwei Saxophone, eine Gitarre - eine eigentümliche Besetzung, die man sich auf Anhieb nicht ganz gut vorstellen kann. Steffen Schorn und Roger Hanschel fordern einander mit den Saxophonen (Kölner Saxophon Mafia) und Dirk Mündelein ist für die gitarristischen Salven zuständig. Schorns Bass-Klarinette erzeugt den Beat, auf dem Mündelein und Hanschel ihre Improvisationen bauen. Diese haben jede Menge Kraft, aber auch Sensibilität, z.B. beim zärtlichen Latin Stück „Natureza“. Soundflächen erobern die Sinne, es rockt, swingt, groovt, manchmal rund und wieder kantig, da und dort eben, plötzlich spitz wie der Gipfel eines Eisbergs. Verlassen sollte man sich auf nichts, jederzeit können die Stücke unerwartete Haken schlagen. Nur eines ist gewiss, dass diese geballte Jazz-Energie einen nicht kalt lässt. Die drei Musiker eröffnen eben eine völlig neuartige Jazz-Atmosphäre - eine Triosphere!
